The skills gained from surgically creating a penis from scratch for his female-to-male patients allowed him to safely develop his technique for penile enlargement. Dr. Zhu is originally from Washington DC; however, his training has taken him across the country and allowed him to learn from some of the best educators in plastic surgery and to work with varied patient populations.
He received his M.D. from Yale School of Medicine, where he developed a strong foundation in surgery and patient care.
Dr. Zhu completed a competitive six-year Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at UTMB, training in both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures.
He pursued advanced fellowship training at UCLA, specializing in microsurgery, breast reconstruction, and aesthetic surgery.
